  • Jackson Fusion SS Professional

    Hi,

First, sorry for my english language, i'm French...

    I've bought a Jackson Fusion SS Professional (110€ / ~$170 USD, used).

Anybody have information for this "SS" ?

The picture (SD & 2 EMG not here when i've bought the guitar) :

    HSS configuration, 1 knob (volume).
    Floyd : JT-580 ?
    Original Bridge pickup : J-85 ? (with 2 rails)
    Originals Middle/Neck pickups : J-200 ? (humbuckers single coils ?)
Body : Poplar or Basswood, or... ???
    Made in Japan, 1993.

And, do you have a price for each neck & middle pickups (occasion/used) ? (Bridge pickup is placed on my Cort X-2).

    Thanks.

You won't get much for the Jackson pickups. Some of the Jackson Pro and Charvel Model series pickups were pretty nice and are sought after for people restoring the old imports back to stock condition, but a lot of them were pretty generic. I've sometimes been able to get $15-20 for a Jackson humbucker at a shop, but wouldn't have even bother shipping for that kind of money.

                Sorry again...

All J-200 pickups and guitars with J-200 pickups that I viewed are like that one (without studs) :

And here, my pickups (with studs) :

I know it's possible to have 2 (or more) differents versions, but just mine have studs. I don't found another J-200 with studs.

If I understand things correctly, a J200 is a stacked humbucker. If you took it apart, you would see 2 separate coils wired together, one on top of the other. They are humbucking, cancelling out 60 cycle hum noise.

Your pickup looks like a J100, a simple single coil.
