  • Fake? Could you have tell?

by the first two pictures if it was a fake? I wish I could have..before I traded.. Let me know what you guys think. The back plates are not recessed just sit on top like a Fender. The ® in Jackson is in the wrong place compared to my others. Looks like the heel been sanded also.

Can not comment much but the "R" is at the same place as my JS30 Kelly.

I guess Indians (is that the correct term to use?) don't have quality in mind when they build something. My 75.00 Les Paul made in China quality is better than this one. Oh well. Thanks for input.

What did you trade for it?
            Or should I ask?

I traded my Epiphone Les Paul Studio for it.. I have a MIJ DX10 and love it... I thought this would be the same quality.. was I soooooooooo wrong.. I haven't played it yet.. Maybe it's a diamond in the rough...

They should have named it... "Quality not up to par to be called Jackson" by Jackson

I should run the router and recess the plates.

Ew. It looks gross. The neck heel looks like it has been altered. It generally looks very poorly built.

I would have kept the Epiphone LP Studio.

surely the more obvious question would be 'why would anyone make a fake copy of an indian import?'

I didn't know Jackson were made in India.. I thought it was a fake from the quality of the workmen ship.

I would've keep the LP if I knew the quality of this one before hand. I didn't ask the right questions. So it was my own fault. Of course there is so much a picture can tell you. The first 2 pictures weren't taken by me but the person who I was trading with.
