  • help needed to identify a guitar

    hello,
can someone please help me to identify this guitar ?
there is "professional" printed on the headstock so it's probably made in japan ?
    I bought it between 1990 and 1996...
thank you very much for your help

    Guillaume

you can go to audiozone.dk and look through the old catalog scans.

Looks like an old soloist of some sort to me.

Very beautiful guitar. What is the difference between Fusion and Soloist?

Soloist= neck through and Fender scale length
Fusion= bolt on & Gibson scale length- Hence fusion- a dinky stratocaster guitar on 24.75 inch Gibson shorter scale. Fusion of Stratocaster and Gibson characteristics.

Fusion is a bolt on soloist is a neck thru.Likely a fusion because the neck overhang is right close to the neck pickup.Fusion H-H had a 3 way toggle not a blade switch.
Thats a nice one.JT-580 trem swapped out bridge pickup.Like Vass said 24.75 = short scale.
                    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

but that catalogue scan is of a Fusion Plus!

As straycat said, the Fusion HH had a 3-way toggle.

The Fusion Plus (which this is) had a 5-way megaswitch, which gives you a couple of coil-splitting sounds in the 2nd & 4th positions. Great guitars. Here's mine:
