Serial # Question

I bought my WARRIOR XT in the AUGUST of 1997 brand new. But i was just wondering in what year it was made? Is it 1996 or 1997 ? S# 0009857777

You try looking in the cavities for dates? Sometimes the mark them when they're being built.

take off the neck. it should be stamped in the neck pocket on the body and on the heal of the neck.

Way too many digits.

The Warrior XT didn't come around until about 2001.

I'm aware of Indian serial numbers.
If it was bought new in August of 97 as SR71 stated, the serial has way too many digits.
Jackson wasn't making guitars in India at that time.
And as Toe also stated, that particular model didn't exist until approx. 2001.
That's 4 years later!
So either SR71 had a 4 year mental lapse or he read the serial wrong.

I'd say both. There should not be a 10-digit serial on anything other than indian Jacksons made from 2005 and later. Prior to that, Indian Jacksons had 8 digit serials.

OH I M SORRRRRY AUGUST 2006, I CALLED JACKSON IN JULY, AND I RECEIVED IT IN AUGUST, don't ask me why did i typed 1997

Are you sure the serial has all those digits? The last seven digits seem consistant with japanese serials (and would place production date somewhere in 2006). But I have never seen a japanese serial with all those leading zeroes.

If it was made in India, it would start with the production year, i.e: 2005****** or 2006******, so that doesn't match.

I didn't intend to allege you wouldn't be aware of Indian serial numbers ! I included the question mark (?), because 1996/1997 doesn't align "Made in India".
