New Axe in Da House.............

I made a swap with a friend from another band on my recently acquired Hamer SS-1. The Hamer was a very cool and unique axe, but I just couldn't adapt to the feel of the neck. We swapped even on this Jackson SL2H MIJ Soloist. The Jackson is like brand new and sounds killer! I have some work to do because it's setup for E flat and has .009's. I need to change it to standard tuning and I'm thinking about going to .046-.010 gauge.

Depends. Does Hamer make an import SS-1? Hamer USA models are great guitars. Though, their resale value can be a little low, so if both parties are happy with the trade, then that's all that matters.

Yep.

They are a special run done for Sam Ash stores. Two finish choices (was matt black the other finish?). Most of the rub with them is the fretboard (not ebony, and MOTO inlays).

The good is a real OFR, real Duncans, etc.

A very, very fine axe.
