Where are the PS-4s made? Japan? Somebody is offering me a PS4 for a trade.

Most I think were made in Japan some Korea. Avoid the korean made ones.

I think if the serial number starts with a 9 you are looking at a Jap unit.
Dig around, someone has posted that info here before... I just can't find it right now since I'm at work, and technically not on-line.

shoot! the one offered to me starts with 1. im guessing it's korean. i know its crap. but what's the difference other than the way the hardware is mounted on the body?
i just think it's good to mod it and serve as a backup or practice guitar. hmmm. The neck is still mint and really really fast. So all I have to replace is the trem and the pups. thanks for the info.
