im looking at a kelly right now that is a strange blue/teal/purple. im thinking it's a shattered glass type pattern. the neck looks like tiger maple with the beautiful tiger stripes around the circumference. it also has the duncan designed invaders. its in great shape except for the typical edge chips. by the serial indicates it's a 96 and it is made in japan. so has anyone seen one like this??? the place wanted 350 for it but is willing to take 250. i really dig the color pattern.

sounds like an Eerie Dess Swirl (EDS) KE3. I don't believe they were available in EDS or with Duncan Designed pickups as far back as '96, so I would think it was made sometime in the last 7 or 8 years. Although KE3s have had real Duncans the last couple of years so it would be at least 2 years old.
