To everyone owning the DK2M and all those new JAcksons with black hardware... How does it compare to the chrome type? Pretty much ALL the Ibanez I've seen with black hardware have their tremolos rusty and chipped off (like paint coming off the tremolo metal), and it looks like it won't last as long as the chrome hardware does... Do you find your black hardware durable?

i have a dxmg. and it has been gigging every week for the last two and a half years. no rusty parts here. just wipe it off after use. unless you really have some acidic sweat...lolz.

When I was in the market for a new guitar last year, I tried a dkmg, dk2m, dx10d, and dxmg while at GC. I put dowm both dx models almost as quickly as I picked them up. Thier quality didn't feel as good as the other two. I went with the DK2M over the DKMG for the following two reasons: The DK2m sounded brighter than the MG, and the 2M body had a little cut away as an armrest on the top of the body. Otherwise, both were very nice. It was a hard decision, but the sound difference was the deciding factor.

Another important difference to consider: The new Pro Series has a more durable bridge, while the X/MG/JS series have the same bridges as before.
