Thanks for the advice, it would be just a straight swap.

...i think i am going to pull out, not the kind of thing i normally would do, i like to think i am a man of my word. I've never had a Jackson before and have been looking at the Stealth for a while now but if i am going to be getting the raw end of the deal i'm not interested lol. Especially since i really like my S470 which (please don't hate me) is a great guitar which i've had for many years ;-)

...BTW, both of those Stealths are gorgeous !

I thought they had some more writing on them..but maybe not, here's a 1990 Fusion Pro (in the UK!) with similar neckplate:

Just a head's up that that guitar has EMG's, so the original jackson pickups and the JE-1500 mid boost electronics have been removed. Also note instead of two knobs and a switch (for the JE-1500), the ebay guitar has 3 knobs, so you might want to ask seller what each knob does.

            ...thanks again !

I'll ask the seller what they do.

It is actually a Pro model though isn't it lol ?

yes, that is a Fusion Pro. There are many Fusion models in the Professional line, but the Fusion Pro was top of the line. Ebony board, sharkies, bound neck, preamp - basically a Japanese version of the US Fusion.

Also, the seller says all original, but no guitar was shipped with black floyd baseplate and chrome saddles. Also, I lightened up his neckplate pic, it only has Jackson and serial number, nothing else...isn't that a trait of a Japan-market only guitar?

                quote from http://www.jacksoncharvelworld.net/Identify.html
"If you have a Ft.Worth Texas neckplate, or you have a neckplate that simply says Jackson / Charvel, you do NOT have a USA MADE guitar."

If this were a stock model in excellent condition I would trade straight up for your Sabre. But the condition it's in as was stated. I would pass

                Furman PL-8 Series II, ADA 3TM MP-1 Ultra+, Axe-FX Ultra, rack tray (Axess Elec. BS-2, DOD FX90), Roland EV-5, Dunlop 535Q18v, VHT 2/50/2, Ground Control Pro, X2 Digital XDS95 W'less, (2) Bogner Cubes

My US Fusion has a 24.75 scale. Great for smaller handed players. Should be similar to the Wizard II on your Sabre in feel but not sure of the scale length of the S.

Seems that it's no longer an issue since you decided against the trade, but I'm going with my earlier guess that it's an XL. Since so many retailers offer exclusive runs, a different finish wouldn't be unheard of. Otherwise, the "mutt" idea is probably most likely. In my opinion, the most interesting Stealth models were those with ash bodies, which isn't very common among most brands. I have a Stealth TH-2 with ash body, and would like to find another someday.
