        +1 to both the resurrection and the finish. My model 88 has a soft finish too with numerous dents, dimples, and dings (not by me) so I'd be interested in the refin info too.

              This is an old thread. My 88 was refinished in Canberra, Australia, so would be cost prohibitive to get done for most of you guys that are in the US. The body can be shipped fairly easily though, but there are plenty of good people who can do the work over there.

              Steer clear of GMW though, they might put install a dodgy fingerboard in it.

                  Was it ever.

                  That line was just for fun as GM-double-poo don't do refin work anymore. They are too busy building nice guitars with the odd turd thrown in for good measure.
