I was thinking of the 77-78 Mustang Cobra (white w/blue stripes) but I own one (sans stripes) so I am admittedly biased. The 69 TA colors are right too!

Here is a shot of the body stripped, sanded, sealed and the cavities/passages coated with Electrodag SP-008A silver/copper conductive paint. All cavities and wire passages are bonded together and I can get resistive readings between cavities (but they are still interconnected with ground wire too!). Note that three 'dowels' (toothpicks) were glued into the ends of three small cracks I found after sanding it bare. One at the rear of the high E side of the neck p/u, and two at the rear of the trem cavity.

This is a shot of it primered:

This is a shot after the white base was applied:

A shot of it after the neutral pearl mid coat:

A shot of it taped up and the blue mid coat for the bevels applied:

All base/mid coats are on and it is ready for clear!

I will post more shots in a bit! I am resizing them to save downloading agony...lol

This is a shot after the pearl/clear & clear coats:

Shots of the front and back after wet sanding and machine buffing with 3M Perfect It 3000 rubbing compound:

A shot after buffing with 3M Perfect It 3000 swirl mark remover and final glaze (good shot of the cloth reflecting in the finish):

            And finally, some finished shots:

We finally got some sun today, and I tried some shots in the sun and indirectly lit but the poor camera overloads no matter what settings I use. I got three rolls of 400 film for my 35mm SLR, and I am going to fill out a roll tomorrow and get it developed. I am sure that the pics from that ought to turn out well. I hope. This paint refracts and reflects wildly, but only when the light hits it just right. If the light is not reflecting, it looks bright white with dark blue bevels. Pretty cool, but a pain to take pictures of to capture the effects.

In parting, and a shot of my wife and myself a couple weeks ago at Cape Arago State Park near Port Orford, Oregon during a recent trip. This is the bike that I used the Intense Blue Pearl on when I painted it.

Thanks for looking and for the compliments!

Great job! Out of curiosity, where'd ya get the allum key holder for the back of the headstock? Imports don't come stock with those.

Nice job! I think someone else here painted a Dinky with similar colors last year.
