It was Toejam's remark in laughingparrot's thread that generated this "wanna have"-feeling !

So I watched out and found one on eBay !
    Out of the box:

... and after a few "swaps" (DiMarzio X2N and SD2, some black hardware, 5-way superswitch, pickup-rings (looks better IMO) etc... :

Very, very nice guitar ! Plays fantastic ( I like thin necks )

Pup rings would have been better if you put em on straight.

gah! pickup rings! looked better without 'em IMO. It's THE dinky rev look (together with the rev head and offset dots) if you ask me...

Hey, I think it looks great with all the new black hardware! I'm sure that X2N rocks in it - I have one in an RG. Congratulations!

I have 2 Sunburst ones and I love them. The thin neck is the most comfortable neck I've played.

JMO I would have not put the rings on it but its your guitar end of story.
I did have a stone finished 93 that originally came with rings, it had a factory installed coil tap too.I bought it from the original owner and he said nothing had been changed. Those are great guitars IMO.
                        Really? well screw Mark Twain.

Great guitars. I have three of them, all black with maple fretboards. Been considering thinning the herd though.

Well, the rings are straight now !

The H-H 5way combination delivers great sounds and the neck is just perfect !

                            I like it.
