    Okay, from a bog standard RR3 with silver scrathplate, and Duncan Design cheapo pickups, to this with red Budman parts and red Duncan Invaders:



    To finally, this: with red auto tape on the bevels and Duncan Blackouts:

      what pickups do you like better , the invaders or the blackouts??

        The Blackouts by miles. I tried a few sets of pickups in this thing - DiMarzio FRED/PAF Joe, Duncan Invaders, Duncan Custom/Jazz with coil splits - never liked any of them. I was about to give up and sell the guitar then I tried the Blackouts and loved it.

        That said, the Invader bridge is an awesome pickup for metal rythm playing. I'd gladly put one in another guitar if I was only going to use the bridge position for rythm chugging. It really was immense at that and I've been thinking of putting one in my Epi SG.
