I Know nothing about these Jackson a shop wanted $499 for it the neck was scooped at the body unlike my SD Soloist.

Japanese early/mid 90's, neck thru, passive electronics (very ordinary stock pups), very good Schaller trem, bound rosewood fretboard.... I think the body is poplar. Yes it is slightly recessed at the neck joint for better access.
I'd say for $499 its a bargain (it would be in the UK anyway). Easily as good as a model 6. Becoming harder to find too.All men play on 10. Never gonna turn down again. -

That is a very good price. I agree with the rest - they get around $700 for them currently.
For a while during the same period, the USA soloist had the same neck heal but for some reason they stopped doing it. I guess they felt they had enough upper fret access alreay.Comment

I have these two and they are the best playing guitars I've owned, and I have had a few guitars lol!

No the Soloist XL has rosewood.
