Was a blocked Floyd a factory option on the '90 RR Pro's? I grabbed one a couple months ago that has the trem blocked, and the block has paint on it that matches the finish of the guitar, which I don't believe has been refinned......Just curious......

Why would anyone bother to paint the blocks?

I doubt it also, it might be the doings of a previous owner to paint it to match for whatever reason?
I heard that painted blocks help sustain because of the paint mass.

mine isnt blocked, but then again i got mine second or third or maybe even fourth hand. yeah i doubt it was factory cause if theyre were gonna do that theyd probably just put a traditional trem on it.Comment
