    Hi,
I'm new to the board, but I've been playing guitar for a long time. I finally got a jackson again after not having one for a long time (I know stupid me). I picked up a nice RX10D. I have two questions, is there is way to tell where it was made and secondly I'm considering adding a tone control to it, have many others done this?
    Thanks

The serial will tell you where it was made.
    A seven-digit serial starting with "9" = Japan.
Eight or ten digit serial = India.

As for me, I've never installed a tone control that was not already there. I usually rip them out.

Same here Sunbane, I don't use them, and I always gut it if there is one on a new guitar I get. Most people run them @ 10 anyway, so whats the point in having them?
