i think the bridge was a jh-3, audiozone has the rr1 rhoads pro comparison and i believe its the exact model you got 1993, right? i cant really see the serial, but it looks like j3xxxx. i actually considered selling mine today, but changed my mind. i agree with martinbarre1 all black is the way to go. of course thats just my opinion. chome looks cheap, and gold looks like " hey look at me i'm flashy " but to each their own. i have an x2n powerplus(old school version) in the bridge and it sounds awesome, just set it as far from the strings as possible cause those things are HOT

yeah i know...and guess what, i was $150 bucks away from getting yours as well =P
oh well. yes, its 93 since its J3xxxx. i agree with the "chrome is cheap" part, but gold shines... my ADHD + shiny guitar = a better guitarist for me lol. well, in anycase, i'm reconsidering it. instead i would prob custom paint it. and as for the pickups, i dont know yet...the current pickups is good enough for now, beside installing a new pickups would be a pain in the ass =P

awe man it aint nothin but a screw driver, solderin iron and some solder yeah the stock pickups are pretty damn good. its best to find out what you want before messin with it. i must've soldered and clipped 5 sets of pickups before settlin on the x2n.

-edit- man i hope i didnt cause you to start selling stuff to get mine. i'd feel bad if i did. if you're into tattoos go to jinx proof on M st.

thats only part of the problem, not to mention re-string + tuning the guitar lol. i've heard a lot of good things from that x2n. i'll give it a shot one of these days
and no worries, a friend of mine owes $200ish...and beside, if i'm selling my stuff, i usually starts on craiglist, and uses pawn shop as last resort. so it'll take a while before i actually have the money
and sorry, i'm not really interested in tattoos...though i would prob get one when me + band mates are famous lol.

i just use the trem bar hold a divebomb and make the strings go super loose and slide the pickup right in. that way i dont need to remove/restring. my little pickup swap trick, though i'm sure others have done the same thing.

edit- yeah i mentioned jinx proof mainly cause i used to work there. i lived in DC for 15 years, but had to get away from all the politics and BS goin on.
