Another difference would be Bound Rosewood (XL) vs. Bound Ebony (PRO)

lol, guess what happened to Elsa(soloist pro).
i was about to sell her since i didnt liked it even after changing strings, reset all the setting, etc. But, i decided to change the batt and see how it works out since i still hate the muddy sound. After changing the batt, it still muddy, but she bites even more. And as i was about to put on the electronic plate, i realize that one of the wire need a bit of soldering work and another one of the wire isnt connected to anything, and yet it was soldered. After fixing everything, and retuning it, i was very surprised that...it sounds very awesome...i still cant believe that original owner missed elsa's awesomeness all these years. Though after i fixed her, knob # 2 and 3 (top-bottom) doesnt do anything now....oh well.:ROTF:
now i'm loving her as much as my other pro
any other weird stories abt the pros?Own:

I've been lurking on this forum for some time now... looks like this is the perfect thread for my first post! Anyway, the 1993 Fusion XL (pictured next to my 1989 Charvel Fusion Custom) is my first Jackson. I scored it on eBay a little over a month ago for only €300. Considering the pretty good conditions it's in (just some dings on the back), I think it was an awesome deal! The neck is the most comfortable I've ever played, and the J-85 humbucker is quite a surprise... perfect for that warm-yet-ballsy mid-80's Iron Maiden tone!
