Thanks for the warm welcome I've had the Charvel since I bought it new in 1989, so the frets are really worn now. Instead of a refret, I've been toying with the idea of putting in a Jackson neck... I've grown tired of the magenta headstock, and I think a bound fretboard would also look great on this guitar. Too bad Fusion necks are apparently very hard to come by...

That matching headstock looks great, I wouldn't "go there".

Well, I'd hold on to the original neck, so it wouldn't be an irreversible change. But I *was* actually hoping to hear some opinions on this... so thanks!

I think that the neck heel on your Charvel is 2-1/4" as opposed to Jackson's 2-1/8" so you're gonna have to do something about the gap when using the Jackson neck because it isn't as wide as the Charvel.

                Great guitars man! Welcome!

Both the Jackson and Charvel should have 2 & 1/4" heels.

Everyone on this forum seems pretty friendly and laid back... I look forward to making some good friends here

BTW, I just checked the neck heels. They both measure 2¼''.
