  • Thank you, Vass. It feels good to finally own a Rhoads. There are a couple of chips on either wing, but nothing horrible. and some on the tip of the headstock. Nothing I can't live with. Going to add a Tremol-No and it'll be just about perfect. Love the mid boost, hope I can find something similar to put in my other axes.

Interesting - was it common for these to have an '80's serial number? A guy in town is selling his, claiming to be an '87 (based on the serial), but I told him the Pro line didn't start until 1990. Any thoughts? Should I grab it?

      • I don't get the "80's" serial number either. What is the actual serial on Cuthbert's Soloist? A USA serial?

          • Nothing too special, but I had a '94 Dinky reverse with a birds eye maple top (sold recently) and I have a '92 Fusion SS, which I love! I just wish I could get my hands on a higher quality Fusion, but I'll enjoy this one for now

I thought you sold all of your Jacksons when you switched to ESP. Speaking of which, how's Dean been treating you, Dave?

It'll need some work when it gets here, but it'll be worth it

                              • I don't think I've posted in this thread hmph. Have 3 (90 Rhoads, 90 red AT and Lim91).
So to start, here's my Rhoads. LOL at control layout. Couldn't decide on V/T/T or V/V/T and also not really wanting to butcher the electronics included with each EMG-81, I crafted a cheap plate and squeezed it all in V/T/V/T LMAO. Barely. Shoulda just gone V/V or single master V. Never use Tone, or even the neck pickup for that matter. Anyways.. on with a few recent images.
(3pts for including lemon oil in the pics LOL)
