  • Help me with KV pro

    Hi there!
Im looking to buy a King V professional.

Please give me some info on them.
I know they were made in 90-95.

Did they all come with kahlers and 24 frets?

Ebony and binding with MOP inlays?

    What diffrent models existed?
Are the KV1 only U.S made ones?

Im basiclly want info on neck through models.

And if someone has one to sell, shot me a PM.

    Thanks!
    Tell me about it!

    Hi,

all KV-Pros are 24 fret, bound ebony, Kahler, MOP.
Not sure about the years but mine is a 1993.

    Really cool guitars!

KV1 is made in USA and a little better quality + Duncan pups

you might want to remove the "buying" part before this thread got moved to JCF classified.
and im assuming that you're looking for a KV pro Mustaine, i would say yes, they all come with ebony fret,MOP inlays, binding and kahlers plus 24 fret.(never seen one on ebay/craiglist/local pwn shop...nor in JCF class)
and KV2 also have most of those stuff, but with floyd. i dont really know much abt kv1...sorry, but a kv10x also have 24 frets, shark fins and floyd...

btw, if you see one laying around somewhere, go for it even if meant selling some of your guitar.

          KV Pro

The number of KV Pro's made were most likely in the hundreds. The odds of you finding someone that will want to part with such a killer axe is not not likely.

          KV1

You'll have better luck finding one of these. How many of them were made? 500 or so?

I have both a KV1 (someone gave me a nice present a few weeks ago) and a KV Pro. The KV Pro is the best playing guitar I have ever touched. Bar none. The KV1 is excellent as well. They're almost the same accept the My KV1 has a thicker neck, and more of a neck angle.

Both have 24 Frets, neck though body, ebony boards, and bound neck and headstock with pearl inlays (and Kahler APM 3310 series bridges).

The KV Pro has a toothpaste logo though.

In my opinion the KV1 has the nicest Jackson Logo ever.

A KV2 has no neck angle, an a floyd. It's also made of Alder, and is much lighter.

Out of all of hte Jackson's that I have played, the KV Pro and KV2 have the flattest fretboard. I actually love them. D shaped necks are great.

When I was talking about the neck angle, I was talking about the angle of the neck in relativity to the body.

KV-4s are also neck-thru, 24 fret, but no neck or headstock binding. They have a rosewood board with MOTO inlays. Great guitars.

There was also a KV1 between 1996 and 2000. More of them were made I assume.
