  • RX10D trem problem

I've got an RX10D and I keep having problems with the strings slipping out of the bridge. I've used Floyds since the early 80's and never had a problem like this. I don't want to change out the trem on this guitar just yet. Is there any tricks for stopping the slippage?

Are you bending the strings at the bridge before you lock them in? That might help. If you're tightening them enough, maybe you need new saddle block inserts?
I'm just guessing since no one else has replied yet.

IS it all the strings or just a few? Maybe the blocks are cracked or grooved and slipping or sitting in the saddle wrong. Try cleaning the blocks and the area of the saddle the block fits into. There could be some dirt in there or somehting prventing the block form clamping down all the way. Worse comes to worse replace the blocks. Make sure the saddles arent grooved too.

Thanks for the replies guys. I am bending the strings at the block. It is just a couple of strings usually the G and the A. I'll tear it apart and give is a good clean and inspection and see what I find. I've never had this issue with a Floyd in all the years I've used one.
