  • PC3 neck

Hi all. I have a jackson PC3 which has a pretty worn neck. I was thinking of replacing it, but I am unsure as to what size I would need. Will it tell me on the present neck?

    Thanks

    Why

Why not just have it refretted?

because I am very partial to the strat headstock.

and also was thinking of an ebony board - as nice as the maple on is, I do like the richer tone of a dark wood.

          All

All it will say on the neck when you get it off is "PC-3"..and maybe some inspection initials. The only way to get a 24 fret ebony neck is off a USA Jackson on Ebay. Jackson won't sell you a neck. And warmoth 24 fret necks won't work...the neck length and pocket are off.

If it would, I think the intonation might always be off.

That guitar cant be that old. In what way is it worn?

Yeah, you could sell the PC3 neck for some funds.

Most of the places that make necks that do 24 frets just ad lips. A refret would be cheaper too.

                          Yep... for about $400.
I've priced it out with them and USA Custom Guitars.
