I got the bevels painted on this morning and then wet sanded and cleared it. It's looking really good now, just gotta wait for it to fully cure then wet sand and polish it, then I'm well on my way.
I also got the neck all done and it's ready for wet sanding and polishing as well.
I used a little bit of super glue to attach the nut, cause this neck isn't going to be permanent, and I'm only using it cause it's all I have for right now. I'll eventually use a Jackson neck with a locking nut....

Thanks buddy! I almost shit cause this morning when I started clearing it, the white paint on the bevels started cracking and raising up, cause I sprayed it too "wet". The white paint is Acrylic Enamel, and the Clearcoat(and Black) is Laquer. (they didn't wanna mix too well).
So, I let it dry, wet sanded it, taped it off and painted it white and started all over....
But yeah it's turning out really nice.
Can;t even tell the neck was a BCRich 3+3 headstock either. (I cut it and reshaped it into a Jackson shape)

I also made the Jackson logo out of paper, believe it or not.
I drew the logo, cut it out w/ a razor blade, misted it with clearcoat on the front and back( to strengthen it up) then I used Elmer's glue to glue it onto the headstock, then I cleared over it, wet sanded, cleared again....
I have a few logos, but since I'm not keeping this neck on it, I didn't wanna waste them on this neck.

Anyway, thanks alot Ben, I wish you could see this in person, cause I'm very proud of how good it looks.
I'll keep you guys posted as I progress with it....

Looks great! Any tips on painting the bevels? I'm toying with the idea on my Concept RR.

I had to paint it, cause it was a BCRich 3+3 headstock that I cut and reshaped, so I had to hide where I plugged the existing tuner holes. (I used old drumsticks to do that...)

But as far as painting the bevels...
First tape off the edges of the guitar, leaving only the bevels exposed.
Then wet sand them with 600 grit to scuff up the clear coat, so the paint has something to stick to.

Then take the tape off and re tape it, cause there might be clearcoat residue under the edges of the tape, and you dont want that...
Then paint the bevels. (a few light coats)
Let it dry for a few days.

Lightly wet sand it, to remove the ridges where the bevel paint meets the original body color.
                Clearcoat the whole guitar.
                Let it dry
Wet sand with 1000 grit then 2000 grit
                Polish it and you're done.

                **edit:
Or you could simply use vinyl tape for now in case it gets old and you dont like it, you can simply remove it, or change colors...
