  • Rhodes ID help?

    Hello JCF members.

A long time ambition to own a Jackson Rhodes presents itself, but the seller (who bought it used) doesn't know much about the guitar. Wondering if anyone here could help.

    Serial # 605 882
He says bolt-on neck, Floyd trem, shark fin inlays, 1 volume control only, "Duncan designed" P/Us.

    Also, he's asking $350 Canadian.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! I tried looking up the serial number but couldn't track down any on-line resources.

    Thanks! - Kurt

First off, it's spelled Rhoads My guess is that it's an RX10D...

    Hope this helps..

That does not look like a Jackson serial that would be consistent with that guitar type. Are you sure it is correct?

        Oops

First off, typo correction: RHOADS. Damn.

Second, that's the serial provided by the seller ... does it look suspicious? Like I said, I've had a hard time tracking down info online.

        Thanks for the help again.

My guess is 1997 RR3. I have DX-1 from that year and it has similar style serial number.

One volume control ONLY? Does it also have a tone control?
