Hey it DOES nosedive! Oh well, maybe I'll move the strap button on that too.

Looks great, the pickups don't look factory[?], I'd like to see a picture of her all strung up. Cool.

Thanks, it really looks killer with the gold hardware. I'm not sure about the pickups but they do sound nice. I'll post some pictures of it strung up later. I'm really bothered by the output jack, how hard would it be to move to the upper wing? Why anyone would put it there is beyond me.

Yeah I know what you mean, when you are plugged in it's really awkward to play in a sitting position. It's basically in the way. You could install a strat style jackplate on the upper wing, but it would be a lot of work. Concepts were budget guitars. I thought of changing the flat jack plate to a strat style on mine, that would be more feasible. Hey- just play standing up more, save your dough, off your JRR-94 and get on a USA RR1 or RR1T!

I'm going to have to do something, it's just not good. Switching to a strat style output jack doesn't sound like a bad idea. I'll going to look into it

Why not use a right angled input jack? It wouldn't be such a pain as a normal one.

I got two CONCEPT necks, in the last month.JDR-94 true reverse and a JSX-94. Both rosewood and both thin, thin even for Jackson. I also got a maple DINKY REV neck. I'd say the wood is better on the DINKY.
I've known about these guitars for years because I have two other guitars from the same 1994 IMPORT catalog.

an eBay sift under MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS - jackson 94 - yielded four CONCEPT guitars from $15 to $600 12/17/2008 10pm EST

Nice guitar! I'm in the process of refinishing my concept Rhoads and did just that with the Strat jack. You just need to remove some of the wood around the existing jack hole and the Strat style just plops in.

also moved the top strap button to the center of the neck plate. And moved the wing strap button further towards the tip a-la King V. It balances perfectly now.

Nice, I assume it's less obtrusive to play sitting down after the jack swap?

Absolutely. A straight, none angled lead runs virtually perpendicular to the lower short fin. Looks cool too.

I'm surprised anyone has these. I have a JSX and it's the one guitar I won't get rid of.

Now that I have some free time, I've taken the time to switch to a fender style output jack. It looks very promising!

Is that the best pic you can post FFS?!
Let's see the guitar, or at least the finished jack!

I have a concept great guitar i love the feel and playability of it mine is undergoing massive upgrades at present Im completly rewiring it, installing a Seymour duncan scremon demon in the neck and a SD Alt 8 in the bridge wired to a push/push volume pot for pickup selection, replacing the bridge with a Floyd with piezo saddles and installing the ghost acoustic phonic kit and Replaceing the tone pot with another push/push pot for the piezos, replacing the 5 way switch for a 3 way ( i dont use the middle pickup i have it disconnected and fully lowerd into the body) to switch between mag, piezo or have a combination. Should be sweet when its all finished
