I couldn't find the much information about the Concept line of guitars. I think they are made in Japan. What the story with that line of guitars?

Very nice axes... nice thin necks.
Electronics (pickups, pots, etc) are generally on the cheaper side, and are worth upgrading.
Very similar to the PS-4, which I think came after.
Can be had for cheap money, and once you own one, you'll know why people around here tend to dig them!

Made in Japan for one year (1994).
      They became the Performer line.
Decent guitars with crappy hardware and electronics.
Loved my JDR-94. Still wish I had kept it.

Really? Wow nice, I thought I'd ask b/c I bought a Black Rhoades V w/ all black hardware on Monday for what I think is a reasonable price. It is still in transit and am hoping it gets here okay and all in one piece.

Rhoads? Did they make Rhoads Concept versions?
As far as I knew, THIS, is a Concept (mine):

I didn't think they made anything other than super strats in the Concept line?

THANKS for posting that! That's a cool ad, and clears up a lot of questions I had about those guitars. Looks like mine is easlily the best of them.

Ah I should have looked at the catalog scans... what did these go for back in the day new? I paid a little over $200 with shipping; no case w/ gig bag.

I bought my JDR-94 for $200 with case. Of course it did help that I worked in the guitar shop that I bought it from.

I got the guitar yesterday and thankfully it was packaged well and wasn't damaged in transit. It's my first V & I'm surprised by how light it is. I'm still getting used to it. My only gripe is the location of the jack. I think it should be on the upper wing. Here's some pics.

For some reason I was thinking that the Concept series had the short 24-3/4" scale length. That must be the Fusion series then cause the specs on the ad posted here all show them to have a 25.5" scale.
                            Good info here, thanks.

Looks nice! I'd change the control knobs myself for all black matching ones, and if the truss rod cover is missing as it seems to be in the pics, get Dave (Budman68 on here) to make you up a nice custom one.

BTW there seems to be a control knob missing there as well, or at least an extra hole where one must have been at some point. Is it just standard wiring or is there coil splits or that kinda thing?
