  • Jackson Dinky?

I'm more of a Charvel guy and know virtually nothing about Import Jacksons but this one caught my eye. It was listed as a DX10D but all i have seen have 2 knobs and blade switch. This has 3 knobs and a toggle switch which could have been added later. Duncan Designed pups & 24 frets...
    Good looking guitar tho!

    DX10DFS (FireStorm)

    From around 2002 or 2003.
They didn't make them for very long.

Personally, I'm not into all those knobs & switches. But the finish is beautiful and it's Floyded w/ two 'buckers. Nothing better.
8 strings? Because 6 is too easy?

I always liked 'em Floyded with one 'bucker - simplicity at its best

simplicity would be 1 HB, no pots or switches and a fixed bridge
          Just a guitar player...

Very true, however simplicity at its best has to have a Floyd in there

I used to own a DX10DFS in the same ASB finish.

Thanks a lot Rick. It was at a pawn shop up here in Portland, Me. Offered him $200 and he took it. As he was ringing it up, he mentioned it was on ebay with a best offer and i told him that i'd submit an "offer" on it so we could both get the feedback. I left with both of us smiling. Guitar sounds pretty good but these DD pups ain't cuttin it and im not sure about this Firestorm boost switch...

$200 is a damn fine deal.

The DD pups are pretty thin. The HB102 starts out OK at lower volumes, but has no balls.
Slap a JB or a Custom Custom in there and you'll be smiling.

Yeah it's pretty much perfect. The bezel on the neck pup is cracked near 1 screw and there was no bar but i have one from another guitar with that will fit. I am pretty stoked with the overall playability and it looks wonderful. I can't find a mark on it. Thanks for the pickup recommendation...you are the man RJ...

It does look pretty sweet. Reverse headstock and reverse sharkies... what's not too like?
