I'm just getting into playing guitar and a co-worker of my wife gave us a Jackson guitar. Definitely has not seen love in a while....Near the tuning screws on the head it says Jackson Professional. Under the strings at the head, there is a little plaque that says Kelly and JX. There is a sticker with what looks like a serial number on the back of the head...J 03329. I've tried finding what year it is, how much it might be worth, etc. but have not had much luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Okay, I'm pretty sure it's an XL then.
It's a stylized "XL" so upside-down it does kind of look like "JX".
Here's the page from the 94/95 catalog: http://audiozone.dk/cm/displayimage.php?album=61&pos=6
94 was the first year they were made...I think they were made until around 96 or 97, until they switched over to the "KE_" naming scheme.
They generally go for $200-$350 depending on condition and if the hard case is included. Very well-built guitars.Last edited by Spivonious; 11-17-2008, 08:19 AM.Scott
