Newbie wondering what he has

I'm just getting into playing guitar and a co-worker of my wife gave us a Jackson guitar. Definitely has not seen love in a while....Near the tuning screws on the head it says Jackson Professional. Under the strings at the head, there is a little plaque that says Kelly and JX. There is a sticker with what looks like a serial number on the back of the head...J 03329. I've tried finding what year it is, how much it might be worth, etc. but have not had much luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Are you sure it says "JX"? If it's from the series I think it is, it would be "Kelly Std", "Kelly XL", or "Kelly Pro".

Thanks for the reply. It definitely is stamped w/ "JX" and "Kelly" is stamped opposite/upside down from the JX. I have not seen any mention of JX anywhere and that is what has me wondering. Thanks again

Okay, I'm pretty sure it's an XL then.



It's a stylized "XL" so upside-down it does kind of look like "JX".

94 was the first year they were made...I think they were made until around 96 or 97, until they switched over to the "KE_" naming scheme.

They generally go for $200-$350 depending on condition and if the hard case is included. Very well-built guitars.
