  • Suggestion for sticky thread/FAQ?

How about a sticky thread/FAQ about Jacksons different import series?
describing the quality/specs and build origin of each series etc?

I personally own 2 USA Jacksons, but i have absolutely no clue about their import models.

So what do you guys think?

There kind of already is one:

A little research and you can find out about anything you need to know for the most part.

True, but those pics take a while to load. A quick text-based reference would be good to have, though that's a lot of models to cover. Plus, the catalogs were not always correct as far as specs go.

I will say that "quality" is subjective. I've owned JS models that everyone denounces as garbage, but I didn't see anything wrong with them from a build-quality or playability standpoint. Yeah they could use a hardware/electronics upgrade, but there were no problems with the playability.

          Yeah good points for sure!
We will need someone to take on the responsibility for posting and editing that thread as details are updated.
Pictures of each model would be nice as well.
It does sound like a neat thread, but I guess the catalog scans have errors that I didnt take into account.

I've also had a few JS30 King V's which were nice guitars aside from the bridge and pickups, which was an easy upgrade. Some of the older import J/C's also benefitted from upgrades as well.
The only thing I didnt like about the JS series were the thicker neck profile compared ot the older imports.
