  • Odd PS-2 won on 'the Bay'

Hi guys, well i normally hang on the Charvel forum but i won a Jackson PS-2 auction earlier today.

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110322655908

good price (i hope) strange thing is though there was absolutely no other interest which is slightly worrying but also having looked at all the catalogue scans i can't see another PS-2 like this one as it appears to have a JT480 V-Trem on it and no locking nut.

i was therefore wondereing if you guys had come across one of these before or is it a 'partscaster' as i'd started to think.

thanks in advance for any light that can be shed on this.

    Cheers!

I have seen ps2 like that but the hardware was chrome. There are 2 different versions of the ps1 and ps2. I had a ps1 that looks like the js20. Not seen in any catalog. The ps2 that was for sale at the same time looks like yours but had chrome hardware. The blue one:

      thanks Rich,

ok that's good so it's obviously not a partscaster then, that's a relief

i notice that yours is also a 22 fret with double humbuckers, a configuration that i'd prefer to be honest. i don't mind 24 fret though.

am i right in thinking that the Vtrem was a bit crap? i'd prefer to swap it out for a JT580 as i have one kicking about but i have something in the back of my mind about the centres on the posts being different on the 480 (narrower???) which may stop me from doing that.

      thanks for your help.

      cheers!
