Conflicting information indicates either Korea or Indonesia. It'd be tough to determine on a PS-4 due to the offset dots, but on the other models, wider dot spacing on the 12th and 24th frets means non-Japanese construction.
The Japanese built PS4 is easy to spot.
Look at the electronics cavity cover.
If it has a recessed Ontario or SD route, it is Japanese.
If it has a bastardized looking SD route or a non recessed rear plate, it's Korean or Indonesian.
This is the bastardized route I'm talking about... these are not MIJ.
Yea my ps-4 was mij for sure I was really thinking more about the ps-2 that i just bought and have not gotten yet....but maybe it will be ok after some fine tunning? if not well theres always:think::think::think::think::think::think:
I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.
What if the trem cavity cover is not routed, but it has a Made in Japan sticker on it?
Mine is routed on the control cover, not the trem cavity....and I doubt if anyone took the time to put a MIJ sticker on it. Quality of it overall is very good.
