I have had both and the ps-4 was made in japan-but later models were not I guess...I have a DKMG right now and I would thing japan, but could not say for sure its the older version with after burner instead of the new ones with active emg's. the dkmg does not feel like a jackson to me,but i still like it.......feels like an old phoenix electra I had when i was much younger much much younger
I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

i'll try to get some pics up, the PS-4 is H-S-S with (originally) with the offset marker dot and 12 and 24 are tightly spaced. The bengal is HH with a TB4 at the bridge and a SH2N on the neck.

Here are some pics, I know I really bastardized the PS-4, but it was a handpainted basketcase when I got it, and i had to do something. The Bengal is all stock.
isn't there an easy way to track the origins by the serial number?

The Blue Bengal is not a DKMG. It is a DK2M with the limited finish made in Japan. I believe your PS-4 is also a made in Japan one.

I didn't do the yellow it was yellow when i got it. but believe me it looked good from far and far from good. I sanded it to primer, and (GASP!) cut the monkeygrip handle in it, smoothed it all down, and hit it with a 2 part uerethane enamel at work. after curing i wetsanded and cleared it with enamel top coat. added a Seymour Duncan Invader to the bridge , fully shielded it and cut an aluminum checkerplate cavity cover. also changed the neck as the previous owner had rounded it off and painted over the headstock
The Red colour in the pics is bad light. It's Hemi Orange like this...
