  • Pics of the Matt Tuck RR sig.

These have started cropping up in Japan (as Jackson Stars, of course). Thought I'd share some pics from a retailer.

    Looks pretty good.

If only it was rearloaded, had cream binding, didn't have the v-plate...

Interesting. I didn't realize they were only 22-fretters with no inlay at the 21st fret.

KBRR, you're right, I should have added the inlays to the list. If you're going to make them from moto, at least make them small. Like on the KBRR.

Geez, well spotted Joe. I had erroneously figured 21st fret inlay plus 3. You clearly haven't been drinking enough during the festive season.

LOL I thought it was 24 at first, too. And you're right, I haven't been drinking that much this holiday season. New Year's Eve is only in a couple days, so I'll catch up then.

I shouldn't even be looking at this guitar, though, since I need to get a 7-string again... the new Evergrey CD I got for Christmas is kicking my ass!!

Not to worry, I've been drinking enough for a small army.

Seriously though, I did think it was going to be a 24 fret guitar, given that most of the Jackson Stars RRs are. Pretty silly that it's not.

Everygrey? Haven't heard of them, but will look them up on BNR. You'll need a new 7 after hearding Loomis's solo album anyway...

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

I also got Jeff's solo CD for Christmas, as well as the special edition Nevermore Year of the Voyager 2 DVD/2 CD package.

Everygrey are from Sweden, have been around like 10 years now. They play Caparison guitars and have their own 6- and 7-string signature models.

Santa sure knew what you wanted.

I've ordered Jeff's new album. Not so sure about the Nevermore DVD thing. I rarely sit down and watch live shows on the TV.

I just don't see why there's a black pickguard/v-plate (the second one shown, not the first)... on this finish you can barely make them out. The Matt logo on the bag of the headstock ruins it for me too (as well as the indecipherable sp? signature on the back).

Remove the scratch plate/v-plate, get rid of the Matt logo and signature, switch the neck to maple, change the inlays to sharkies, and keep the sparkle finish that was on Matt's Download model, and you have... ok, a completely different guitar, but a one I'd rather buy.

                              And on the 8th day,
God kicked back with a beer,
And gave that Jackson one helluva beating!
