DX2 body with a DX1 neck most likely.
Look in the 1997 catalog, page 5.

I agree on the body but not the neck. dx1 neck had binding and professional on the headstock. Probably a neck from a X series.

Good call. I forgot about the binding.
It's too early in the morning here.

it's an ATX. Here's an old review from when they came out: http://www.australianmusician.com.au...ckson_atx.html

              Not.
              An ATX is an archtop.
Like this... Very similar, but the guitar pictured above does not have an arched top.

It's hard to tell if it's an archtop or not. The control placement matches the ATX.

The control placement is the exact same as any import DX, DK, AT, SS, TH, etc...
Quilt tops with a glossy finish show off an arch pretty easily.
                  This appears to be flat.

To the OP, is the top flat or arched? That should clear up the question pretty quick.

                      Looks flat to me.
I still say it's a DX2 body. Neck could be from any number of Jackson's, but should not be a major issue.
What is he asking for it?

                          Cool.
I still think it's a DX2 body, but unsure about the neck.
                          Still a great looking guitar.

Read the whole thread. 97 dx2 neck would have binding and say professional on the headstock.
