Cool, thats the 1 hum model? It was a MF special. They blew out a bunch of them as blems last year or so ago. I had one but returned it because it had the dreaded crooked neck pocket deal. I should have just parted it out like many people did at the time. Nice looking guitar though.

Well it turned up today, just unpacked it, looks like ex display model. few scratches to the back (nothing major) front is fine.

But the fucking nut has a screw stripped and the cast thread into the nut hole has a bit missing, so needs a new nut basically.
not a happy bunny. sent an email, gonna rip into dickhead at the shop in the morning on the phone at 10.30 when they open

oh yeah and can't play it as i cut my finger tip open with a breadknife yesterday morning! lol icing on the cake

When I got my first one a generous forum member posted this link in my thread:

Shop the best selection of popular guitars: ? guaranteed low price, ? free shipping, ? 0% financing, ? 8% back in rewards.

Some of the details a wrong or incomplete but a good overview.

I have one with a slight crookedness of the neck pocket/neck heel seating and I have one that is perfect.

cheers for the link goodwood. I'm generally real happy with the guitar, and nothing wrong with the neck pocket from what i tell. I'm waiting for the shop to get back to me about sending me out a new nut. Here's a pic of the damage...

so it's not the one with the chip on the upper horn?

must be the one they had in edinburgh.. and that explains why a friend of mine said there was a problem with the floyd holding tune.
mine hasnt got any problems with the neck pocket either. i love it

So...one of the tapped screw holes is stripped? Yes, a new nut will fix that up!

I may as well post this:

                  HA!

Enjoy that guitar after you get the new nut installed. The necks are awesome!

I got one and really liked it...then I got another in a fit of "I need more guitars". I have had those fits in the past...I think that they are under control now!!

I dont remember exactly but I think the one I got from MF as a blem (it was spotless, aside from the neck issue) was under $400. This was back when the DK2Ms were first out and the maple necks were going for crazy prices on ebay. I should have kept that guitar. I believe regular new price was like $799.
