  • Firebird find

Found a firebird just had some Q's.
The plate is your standard import plate no address 6 digit number.Like most 95-96 imports
Bolt on reg headstock/ professional after the logo. TOM bridge stop tail.Black in color.2 hums.Volume tone and 3-way.
The store had it priced at $649.00 way to steep IMO.
    What years were these produced?
I went thru the catalog scans and couldn't come up with any hits.
Its a nice guitar really I wouldn't mind to have it but I need facts so I can make a good decision.

    92/93? Maybe? Or 94/95?

I dunno. I had one with the trem. Not a bad guitar - neck was a bit fatter than I prefer, dot inlays + Jackson = stupidity, and I just couldn't get into the body shape.

$650 isn't "way too steep" - depends on the condition of course - but they do generally go that high on Ebay. Never saw one go under $500 unless it was an underpriced BIN that someone jumped on as soon as it went up, and those don't count when calculating "market value".
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Thanks Newc just when did they stop with the professional after the Jackson logo?
92-93 still had the FT Worth address on the plate did they not?
Its in excellent shape just looks like its been unused for some time the fret ends need to be cleaned up.
I agree sharkies would look better.

I think you guys are too early, these were later. Five years or so ago I would see them from time to time and usually for around 250.00-350.00. The thing then was that they were usually the floyded models that I didnt care for. That much for a TOM is pretty steep.

Well the Professional after the Jackson logo makes me think a neck swap has taken place.95 maybe early96 was the last of those logos IIRC.
This model is not one I know anything about.

Great guitars, $600 or so is the street price.
