  • My first Chavel, aww, model 2.

So I got my first Charvel yesterday afternoon!

So it's probably 1987 ish(?)... and barely a mark. For a 20+ year old guitar, it's pretty much mint condition - and this is before cleaning!! It's got a dimarzio evolution in there now but I've got the original pup on the way too.

My question is: does the stock JT6 trem accept a big block? Like from floydupgrades.com? I'm guessing not...but worth asking...

    Anyone?

    I don't think a J-6 will take a Floyd bock.
Just swap out the JT-6 for an OFR. Problem solved.
Then hit up Dave over at http://www.fretsonthenet.com for some Floyd friendly replacement posts.
    He's also a member here.

Ah, that was plan B if the stock trem didn't take a big block. Maybe I can convince the girlfriend that an OFR + big block is a GREAT valentines present!
