hey how are the pickups in these guitars?
ill probably get one of these before a soloist because my main guitar is starting to breakdown a lot.

i had an rr3 and the bridge pickup was horrible, it was really low output but i think i got it used to so..

are the pickups made for metal or what, a lot of mids, treble or what?
and where can i find the bengals they looks sexy!

The Duncan JB (bridge) and Jazz (neck) make for an awesome sounding pair of pickups.
This is a classic combination that will work for 90% of the guitarists out there, regardless of musical styles, IMO.
"Wow,... that was some of the hardest rockin ever. Hardest to listen too."

I would describe the JB as "hot enough"
It's no X2N, etc... but I'm partial to the tone.
          Others, absolutely hate the JB.
Nice thing is, you can yank it out, sell it, and get what you want.
JB's are in demand, and if you price it right (50 or so) you will sell it fast.

true you have a point there
or i could always get one with emgs but im not into active pickups.
i totally forgot about pickup swapping. thanks for reminding me

wonder what an evo would sound like in it, or an invader?

            EDIT-

I just joined the DK2M club TODAY!

My 1st Jackson since 2000. It's FAR superior to the JDR junk I bought years ago and sold to my drummer. I was going to part it out but when I realized how nice it was and BRAND NEW (all papers, tag, warranty were in a sweet Jackson gigbag) I thought it would be a crime to strip it. I'm keeping it and it's going to be in the live rotation. I'm impressed with the quality. The neck is amazing, the pickups are real Duncans, the trem is a newer design than I expected. These guitars are a steal for what you get. This is by far the BEST bang for my buck I've ever gotten off eBay.
Question: does anyone have their's setup with D-Tuna and blocked trem? Are they OK d-tuned?

The Charvies on the wall are wondering "Who's the new kid with the prison outfit?"

According to the guy its one of 100 but I'm just going with what I was told. I love it though. I posted this from a blackberry so if it posts funky I'm sorry.
What place in Milwaukee? I'm in Chicago, so it's no problem to drive up if they still have some of these!

Cream city music. They only had 2 and I got the last 1. I'm just glad I got it new, I almost spent more on a used blue-orange flame dk2, but I canceled the order from Orlando GC when I found this. Plus maple is just gorgeous and I always wanted a crazy 80's graphic, a floyd, and hss. Its perfect.

a few others i'd rather not mention
Nigel Tufnel: (holding up a guitar) The sustain, listen to it.
Marty DiBergi: I don't hear anything.

Nigel Tufnel: Well you would though, if it were playing.
