Crimson Swirl

Is it just me or does the old Crimson Swirl (pre black hardware) look ALOT better than the Crimson Swirl on the newer models?

Yeah man ive the same guitar but with the duncan detonators, I think te swirl looks alot deeper and not as flat as the recent ones ive seen.
