  • My first Jackson: Soloist Professional '90

After hijacking some other thread about the pro series, I decided to go for the professional soloist I had my eye on for a while.

The neck took some getting used to at first, but the playability is insane. Coming from an unfinished, cheap Ibanez neck, I first thought it was too wide and full... Now the Ibanez just feels like a twig.
If USA Jacksons play like this (or better), then my next guitar will probably be a Ke2

It sounds amazing (altho I might eventually change the pickups for more bite, especially the single coil in the neck) and it just screams eighties speedmetal, just the way we like it

    But you probably want pics

Not sure what's this color called? Ferrari red or something?

My `90 Soloist Pro was that color when I bought it. Not being a fan of red guitars, I had it refinished in black pearl, and put a Full Shred in the bridge position. Oddly enough, I prefer the Soloist for rhythm work and use a Dinky for solos. Just a minor difference in the neck dimensions I suppose.

                            Yeah
The asking price was about 150 higher, but srsly this guitar is worth even that.

And at first I was reluctant about the color, but now I'm really starting to dig it
