  • Replacing JT-580 With JT-6

    So, would it fit?

I'd say so. People the OFR is a direct swap for a JT-6. The 580 can also be swapped out for an OFR, but there may be difficulties to properly intonate the strings. Adding 2 and 2 together, the two should be interchangeable, but those same intonation problems might occur.

If you've a spare JT-6 lying around, go for it. Remember that intonation is influenced a lot by scale length and string gauge. If you haven't got a super heavy low E, go for it.

There are zero difficulties in swapping a 580 with an OFR. It's a direct swap.
No intonation issues either, regardless of string gauge. I've done it many times already.
There are others here who have done it as well.

My question is why anyone would want to swap out a JT-580 for a POS JT-6?
