    I'll tell you what, I really like the solo tone in the hotrails- I'm one of those backassward hicks that plays rhythm on the bridge and solos on the neck pup - and by raising the neck HR just under string bends sounds as hot and deep as I could imagine...Too noisy for clean tones with it set that high, though.

    The more I play with the digitech and amp settings, the more I'm able to bring out more of the "semi-scooped" tone I was looking for from the JB. The solo tone on it is amazing as well, specially when tempered with a lil tone...I wasn't impressed with the rhythm crunch at first, but it is starting to grow on me. I wonder what it would sound like with an EMG Afterburner (like I have in the DKMG) with the +20db preamp...Don't like the idea of having to route for another knob on her, though...

      Which is why you need a true single coil like the SSL-1 in the middle.

        Duckbucker is agood choice for the middle pickup a very nice clean tone and a sound that isnt as glassy or sharp as single coil can be...
