I got it at Guitar Center. I had to ask the guy at least twice to actually look it up in the computer to see the price because the price tag was 450 or so.

He tried to point me to some "American" Jacksons (read: Japanese) and whatnot, what an idiot. There was another guy there that was pretty helpful in finally getting the guy to look at the computer price - I should have asked him to ring it up so the guy who tried to help me not get it didn't get a commission.

Also, they mentioned that even though the white is listed at 599, they could have got that down to 349 for me, just a heads up.

Mods: feel free to kill that last part if you think its breaking the rules - we're talking pretty straight up about prices here so I figured I was fine.

Early 2008 or late 2007, I snagged a Inferno Red DK2M for $265 + tax in the GC store. That was a real steal!

None of the GC's near me carry new DK2M's. I stopped by a local GC last week and they had a used (beatup) black DK2M. They wanted $450 for it When I asked him about the new ones for $299, the price magically came down to $275. Still not low enough considering the condition of the guitar...

There's a white one here in Seattle GC that literally fell off the wall (and looks it, too...makes me sad). These bozos still have a $599 price tag on it. Maybe they're trying to sell it as "road worn." I'd love to get one if it were in good condition.

Why so cheap anyway? Are they being discontinued? They're great guitars for the price point they're in.
The last thing I want to do is hurt you...but it's still on the list.

Mine had a couple of dings all the way to the wood, though very small, and the frets needed polishing.

I polished up the frets, and sent it to Mike Learn for a paint job. Learn custom painted DK2M for about what a new one would cost. I was a happy man.

ha, if it makes you feel any better, i snagged the red one from the the Seattle GC a couple of weeks ago. I saw the white one that is super beat up for way more and couldn't believe they were asking that much.
