I'm not really sure what to do with the rest of it. What d'you think? Put my KE3 neck on it, buy a cheap trem and sell it as a mutt? My KE3 neck has reverse sharkies and with the EMG 81 I should make my money back.
Or maybe just sell all the parts - single coils, EMG, KE3 neck, DK2 body - seperately?
Any ideas guys? I really don't know what to do, but I do know I don't need another guitar so keeping it is out of the question!
Put the KE neck on the body and bill it as being higher-quality than the DKMG (which has a reverse headstock and slippy nut), and sell it for $200 minimum. These are Pro Series parts; more went into them (better materials, better attention to detail) so they're worth more. If people wanna piss on the price, they can go buy a lower-level model like the X series.
Don't bother with putting a trem on it, you wouldn't get that back. Unless of course you've got a spare JT580LP laying around you could throw on with some strings just to let people know it's playable/useable out of the box.
I wouldn't put the 81 in it, you can get $45+ for it alone (include the pots and jack and battery clip though - sells easier).

Just in case anyone else is ever thinking of doing this and searches posts I thought I'd update it.
I swapped the necks over, the DK2 neck went on just fine. I had to lower the bridge and pickups a bit, but it worked a treat and looks great (I posted a photo in another thread, "NGDx3" or something).
The KE3 neck was harder to get on the DK2, I had to sand it down a bit but got there eventually and it's on there fine now.
So if anyone is ever thinking of doing this, I can assure you it does work!
dkmg doesnt have a slippery nut.
wait didnt i get that neck from you, newc?
meant to tell you that the nut wasnt properly seated. like it was put on after the truss cover so the slippery feel you may experienced may have been that the nut wasnt screwed all the way down.

Is that all it was? Damn
Hmm, must be a common theme with XMG/Piranha necks, because the one on my WRMG also slips.
Of course it's being replaced with a DK2M neck anyway.....
