need some guitar buying advice!? jackson PS-7?

I don't know much about guitars but I've been in the market for a cheap starter guitar. I came across this guitar (images posted below).

The seller wants $150 for the guitar with hardcase included. He says he doesn't know much about the guitar other than it has been in his family for about 8+ years or so. The serial no. is 1051089.

Is it worth it?

Here are some photos. He only has a cell phone camera. He said I can come by to look at it, I just want to know if it would be worth the trip. Is it a PS-7? Looks like it.

For 150 how can you go wrong?

That looks pretty cool, the case alone must be worth a few $$$.
