  • Hard case for a DK2M

I've got a cheap Peavy gig bag that I'm using for my new DK2M, but I'd like something that offers a bit more protection, especially for the headstock. Is the "official" Jackson case worth it? I can't find it online anyplace. Is there a better alternative? I did a couple of searches on here but didn't come up with much.

Unless you can get a moulded Jackson case (like the one you get with the DK1?), the only alternative I can think of is a Gator case with a polystyrene cutout to fit between the body and the interior of the case. That'll stop the body shifting around, but won't offer brilliant protection for the headstock.
    Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

The DK2M I got recently off ebay came with a really nice little case. It's not QUITE a hard case, but, it is hard, if you see what I mean...Hard to explain, and this photo doesn't really tell you much either.
It cost £60 brand new, and is made by TKL. Maybe you can find more about it online - I had planned on just putting it on Ebay, but when I saw it I decided to keep it cos it's really neat!

I'll take some better pictures on Thursday if I can and post them up.

When I bought my first DK2M it came with a hard case but my second one didn't. Maybe there is someone selling their DK2M case somewhere?

I've been looking at the Gator version of that. It has an indent in the headstock area so the point doesn't touch it and it has enough space to handle non-low profile Floyds. I'm going to get one today.
