Swapping out pickups on my rr3

Hey all,I'm new on here and I have just recently purchased a new RR3 and I am wanting to swap out the pickups. What bridge pickup would you suggest to get great bass response and scooped mids but also retaining the higher end?
And also what neck pickup should I get to a great high end and mids but with less bass? I am thinking Dimarzios but any suggestions are very welcome. thanx

DiMarzio Evolution, or EVO 2.
I am an EMG 81 and 85 guy, so they get my endorsement everytime.

Offhand I'd say the JB in the bridge, but it's already there. What don't you like about it?

For the neck, the Jazz can get a little bassy. Maybe try a Duncan Distortion.

I'm not as familiar with Dimarzios so I can't give recommendations for those.

The JB isn't very tight in the bass side, I'd suggest a Duncan Distortion. I've just bought one myself to replace the JB in my Kelly for this very reason.
I like the Jazz neck myself, the Distortion neck is okay, but I find it's maybe a bit too hot.

for the bridge:
SD Custom (TB-5 ceramic) or Dimarzio Super Distortion.

for the neck, I'd look to the Dimarzio PAF or the SD 59.

The 59 is a great neck pickup, but it has a lot of bass.

maybe you need a SD Invader, a very powerful heavy metal pickup with "great bass response and scooped mids but also retaining the high tones" just what you want!

although the SD Distortion has a darker sound than the JB they still are very similar,

I do not think that will help in the bridge but it can be what you are searching for the neck

You can try also with the SD Blackouts AHB-1/AHB-2 active pickups, I've never played but everyone talks good things about them, I am about to buy them for a 7 string guitar

The Invader IS a fantastic metal pickup, but mainly for rythm IMO. I loved it for that in my RR3, but it was really lacking for lead playing.
The Blackouts I had in that RR3 were great but I prefer passive pickups myself.

At the end of the day, the only thing to do is decide for yourself, cos everyone has their own favourite pickup!

The invader is VERY mid HEAVY, maybe a full shred, not the best bass but has a cool scouped sound

Full Shred is pure ear-piercing treble. I used to use them in bassy/mahogany guitars sometimes.

I would not put that in an RR3 unless I wanted to scare dogs.

I can't suggest any DiMarzios because I don't use them but with all due respect to KBRR I would advise you steer clear of them.

SH-5 Custom or SH-14 Custom 5 in the bridge. (Probably the SH-5 for a bit more output.)
Full shred is a gret neck pickup if you only use the neck for distorted leads. It has a single coil clarity in a humbicking package. I like the pearly gates and jazz in the neck for cleans and crunch tones. I don't find the jazz bass heavy in my RR1 but I guess it's technically a bright guitar.

dont overlook the duncan JB either, great pup
