  • Lefty frankenbass

ok so I was bored and since bolt on necks are easy to change.....
remember I play inverted strings so this is great for me, correct orientation of the body, and strings inverted
a little sanding on the side of the heel, and it popped right into the pocket.

I didn't want to flip the nut on the OEM neck so I can just put it back together in a couple minutes, so I used a partsBin neck....

( anyone have a reverse righty neck )????.

works for me but GEEZUS it is so friggen ugly and weird looking --:ROTF:.

    .

the GAS has now struck for me to seek out lefty Charvels cause if I find another one, I'm gonna turn this into a preamped-2b from my spare parts bin. ( not that I will find one anytime soon but... )

that was just a hint Rob, cause I know you wanted to keep that stuff around your place from my last "I should add a righty neck to the lefty" bass 6 months ago. The only issue is I don't want to get rid of the lefty neck in case I REALLY want to sell this thing off. Without the stock lefty neck I would never be able to sell it for what it is...
The neck on it now has a small dent in the fretboard at the edge, not in the way and don't affect the playing. and that black bass I threw the maple neck on it's OEM rosewood neck has bad frets ( really dented ). ( that's the bass I got for 100 bucks, so I'm not mad ).

I posted that "thing" on TB Bob, and I already got offers to buy it beyond Chowderhead---now that's a WTF?!?

at least I may be on to something....

and no, the lefty neck is still on the shelf and Peabuddys neck is no good for me to use ( I already got a couple but his is maple ---mmmm )

and if I ever find another lefty within my price budget, this white one is gonna get a preamp, and I'm gonna turn it into a 5b.
5b??? ya the 4b uses a 3b body, so I cant call it a 4b and the 2b body was never preamped from the factory, so I'm gonna create MY OWN MODEL#
how about this, you sell me your ironbird and i'll toss a Charvel neck on it !!!!!

will it fit?........... ILL MAKE IT FIT

Well the scale is the same so maybe, I'll measure, for the sake of it.

that white 1b would look good with a rosewood, like the bird

now here is the lefty neck on my other one although I kinda wish it was the one on the left .

I took the mapleneck off the red 1b a while ago so I could have a pair of B+M, and until now it sat in the case neckless
