  • Ok gang, now this is a weird charvel..

ok, so someone asks me why this don't look like a 92 JX.....

    BECAUSE IT AINT!!!

since the logo is the USA version, and I have never seen a JX with a J-J setup or CHROME charvel branded pickups what the hell is it?

the seller is in the Phillipines, and the dollar conversion is approx 325.00, and I know it may be worth a lot more if real, so I'm trying my best to get it.

    I seriously doubt that's a USA Charvel...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Looks like a Charvel version of a Jackson JZB.
Serial would make it around 1996/97 time frame.

As for the logo, not the first time I've seen that logo sans the "MADE IN U.S.A.", on an import.

thanks RJ, I'm sure as other people see this they will chime in, or I will just believe it is what it is, the charvel import lookalike of a JZB and will ask the seller to come down on the price since it is worthless to anyone but a collector of Jap basses ( oh hell I own a dozen of them already so maybe I'll get it for a couple hundred...lol )

but that pickguard/control guard is so.......so......so....

Fenderish --yuk, but I do like the chromed out look.

I'd ask for a better pic of the bridge it might just be a cheap bend around at the heel of it and not solid.

Bob I got more pics, it is the typical 90's lightweight bridge and not a fake, just not a USA model like the guy says. I just am curious as to what it is ( correct model name ) since I never saw a JX/JZB with a Fender guard and control panel like that.

I'm pretty sure they are plastic.....lol

if you d/l the pic and enlarge it, the silver really shows up no chrome anything, and that is badass... I would love to do a black model2 in "brushed aluminum" hardware.

( or GOLD to match my sports teams colors )
